Floating Thumbnails

Sent by George Smyth on 7 October 2004 20:08

I read the tutorial for floating thumbnails at http://realworldstyle.com/thumb_float.html and found
it very helpful. This works very nicely when all of the images are vertical or horizontal.
However, when a mixture of images are used then problems arise. I put together a test page at
http://usnaparents.com/Pictures/2004_2005/04-0734/04-0734.htm and you can see what the float does
when it hits a vertical.
Does anyone have any idea how I can restrict things so that the same number of images is displayed
on each line? For instance, I think it looks bad to have a horizontal, a vertical, then two
horizontals on a line. I have played with this long enough and wonder if anyone has any ideas (or
if it can even be done).
Thanks -
george
