Forms on Mac woes

Sent by Joelle Tegwen on 23 September 2004 19:07

I've been working on this and I've fixed a few problems. However, I still
have these odd gaps showing up here and there. I think it has something to
do with <div>s and floats, but I've not been able to make it go away.

The gapping seems to be the worst in Safari 1.1.

If you click on a book title after you log in and then click on "Edit
Bibliography" There is a gap between the ISBN and the Title. In Mac/IE All
of the form fields are very thin. So it looks like there is just the top of
the box.

If you click on "Site Management" the messages are way down at the bottom of
the page.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Joelle

I just recently got my hands on a Mac and my pages are not working at all.
It's so bad that my forms don't work at all for my users.

My site is at: http://ci.education.umn.edu/tegwe002/indexDev.asp
It requires login you can use username: Guest password:Guest1

The various css pages that seem to be most relevant to the problems are at
http://ci.education.umn.edu/tegwe002/CSS/CSSIDs.css
http://ci.education.umn.edu/tegwe002/CSS/CSSBookForm.css
http://ci.education.umn.edu/tegwe002/CSS/CSSFormLogin.css
http://ci.education.umn.edu/tegwe002/CSS/CSSListsTablesColumns.css

The others are in the same folder. There is also some CSS embedded into each
page.

The pages I'm most concerned about are:
My Books: Click on a title. See the mess.
My Information: The div doesn't expand for the space even thought I thought
I did the IE hack correctly for #mainRight
Messages: There is this big gap between the menu and the text
Book Lists: Click on any of the table headings (Author, Title, etc) The
background is supposed to be a pale yellow. It's white.

If you can find anything else I would be most grateful. But I'm *really*
concerned about the Book Review page. It renders the page unusable for my
users.

Thanks so much!

Joelle Tegwen
