It only renders in IE6 because your XML prolog (above the DOCTYPE) 
forces IE into quirks mode, where it behaves as if it were IE5. You 
have some box model issues going on but perhaps you might want to 
analyze the styles and techniues used on the following page - which 
are fairly well browser-tested:
