Preventing breaks within non-standard 'words'

If it only worked inside block level elements, it would not help here,
since the text apparently needs to be inline.

We would all need good reference material, but at present, CSS 2.1
is still a draft that says that it should not be cited except as
a work in progress. But that work in progress says that white-space
applies to all elements, which is probably the intent from the beginning
and how browsers behave.
