Site check on Explorer5 etc

Sent by Vissers, M.R.E. (Michel) on 24 August 2004 10:10

Check http://www.quirksmode.org/ -> Browsers/Multiple Explorers for how
to test with multiple versions of IE.

As for your question, as far as I can see the only thing wrong in IE5 is
the word 'Valley' (from Hunter Valley) which is wrapped to the next
line.

Subject: [css-d] Site check on Explorer5 etc

Hi,

My site is www.vamptretrondeco.com

The front page is what I'm interested in - it's my first complicated
(well for me that is) ccs site with php and I'm expecting some problems.
If it's horrendous, I will not trouble you guys further and go get hold
over an older version to test on directly.

I have run a validation (just on the front page so far) and I get some
errors to do with passing parameters to the thumbnail routine I'm using
(phpThumb) which is referenced on the on the img tag, however when I
take those out it validates ok.

Could someone check what it looks like in ie5.x ? If you look at it in
ie6
or firefox you should(?) see what it is supposed to look like. Not
expecting any in depth analysis, just an idea of how the screen looks.
(if you feel adventurous enough to plunge in a newbies likely ugly code,
feel free but please send any totally embarrassing comments to me
privately, pretty please)

Any help appreciated.

(it's ok on ie6 and firefox, but I know I have some mozilla problems to
address later - older IE versions are what I'm interested in)

Thanks,
Sharon
