Yes....
I just did a small test with the <span> solution. Hmm, Opera5 (OS
X) still has problems with it.

But Opera has some weird understanding of float. It always puts
them much higher then Mozilla or IE.
And then it is even more strange: declaring a border on the
surrounding <p>, and all falls in place in Opera.<http://www.l-c-
