What is aliasing a style, why is it useful, and how do I do it?

Yes.

However, there are two reasons why I didn't suggest this:

1. I've tried multiple class names before such as

<p class="important reallyimportant">Hello</p>

...and found them to be buggy at times with certain Microsoft browsers.

3. The *programmer* says that the CSS designer needs to learn how to do
it, so I made the assumption that the programmer is generating the HTML
code via some means and the CSS designer may not have access to edit it.

Regards

Dave
