Zoe, sorry for that,

(maybe its a language problem by me)

but if I change with DOM Inspector Tool on FF0.9 WinXP,1280x1024 or 
Win95,800x600
at
http://www.hsrc.unc.edu/ghsp/draft4.htm

to
div#inputbox {margin-top:0;}
and
ul#inputlist {margin-top:0;}

the sand/brown box including "Orientation/Subset/Output..." starts at 
equal height as the RESULTS-image

(don't know what you mean with "If you increase the height of the image,")

I have missed something for sure.
