Horizontal Scrollbar -- why?

Sent by Egor Kloos on 28 March 2004 18:06

Lorin Rivers,

Do you need the 100% width? Isn't a <div> or any other block element
always 100% wide? Forcing the width this way you will override the
default behavior of a block element and thus can come into margin and
padding problems.
And doesn't a Body also have a padding value by default? The body's
padding default value can differ among browsers, so you may want to set
it to something else or at least set it to something.

I hope this helps.
