css navbar problems

Sent by Amita Guha on 28 March 2004 04:04

Hi,

I'm having two problems with a new page. First, I'm creating my first
CSS rollovers using transparent images. In IE6 this looks fine, but in
NN6 and Firefox, the images are offset and the color that gets swapped
in isn't high enough. I got the rollover code from A List Apart. I
didn't use ULs because they were forcing the LIs to indent.

The other problem is that IE6 is adding some sort of padding to the left
of that DIV and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I put in a
border to make it more obvious. Even if I get the rollovers working
right in NN, they'll still look goofy in IE because of that extra
padding.

Any insight would be great.

Thanks,
Amita
