The behavior could also be only applied inside a conditional comment to yield validating css. See a demo / problem page here: http://sam-i-am.com/work/sandbox/samstests/shadowed_box/shadowedBox_htc.html (alert alert: for debugging purposes, an alert box is thrown up each time the behavior's fixBgPng function is invoked.. so if you hit this page with win IE5+ you'll get 8 alerts) lots of other problems though before this is a working solution (for me at least).
