    That part, it seems to me, is on topic, as long as it leads to 
good tools/practices for dealing with Word's output in a sane manner.
    As for cost estimates, that's WAY off topic.  I'm guessing that 
the going rate in Germany is different than in Australia, which is 
different than America.  This is a global list, and we have 
subscribers in all those places plus a whole lot more.  We can help 
find tools and techniques, but what to charge is ultimately between 
each of us and our clients.  We need to keep it there.
