Well, the organizational changes the last few years are more
subtle than that. Altho my contacts within the ranks of Microsoft
have drastically fallen off lately (no coincidence here), Hickson's
evaluation of current perspectives seems right on target.
Practically speaking, from the perspective of someone who makes
Web products based on the IE browser, I can assure my myriad
bosses they can count on the current warts and features of IE for
the lifetime of the products.
Understandably, that outlook does not bring them the same sense
of disappointment as it brings me.
