OK, I know I've seen this somewhere. I'm working on a layout that will
basically be one (maybe two, depends on how the graphics come back from the
Graphics Dude) div across the top, a thin-ish one on the left, the main
content div on the right, and a footer div across the bottom.
So, on the position, I'm using position:absolute on the top div and the
bottom div, and I was thinking I'd use it on the central divs, but do I need
to give pixel or percent values on all the divs? IOW, can I say:
div.left{
position: absolute;
left:0;
}
and not torque my CSS? If I end up with two divs across the top, one may not
be used in all of the pages on the site so I'm reluctant to give a height
position on those center divs, even though both top divs will be set heights
(they're images...).
Does that make any sense? And isn't there a tutorial somewhere about using
position: absolute? I could have sworn there was...
