If you aren't sure which content section will be longest, you can make the
border with a background image in the main container. This technique is
demonstrated by Alex Robinson at
http://www.fu2k.org/alex/css/layouts/3Col_NN4_RWS_C.mhtml -- you can also
check out other layout examples and ideas in the links in his left
navigation.
