[OT]MS word HTML :(

Sent by andy m on 30 November 2003 12:12

i was looking on the HTML tidy site and there was a link to a "compact html
filter" which works from either the cmand prompt, a handy little GUI or from
within word. It seems to do a good job and can be set to remove the annoying
<span style="too much rubbish: to even bother;"></span>. You can choose
loads of files to run it on then hit the apply button. Then im probably
gonna go in with DW and do a find and replace on the &nbsp; to eliminate the
millions of pointless characters. All of a sudden monday morning isn't going
to be too bad.

Now all we need to do is teach people to make their word documents with the
headings selected properly then ill be out of a job. WA-HOO!

Anyway, just want to say thanks for all the info from everybody on the list

Andy
