there's no attachment i think the list server strips them post a link maybe.
I played with a table less layout but went back to tables for layout as i couldn't get the source
in the order i wanted for dynamic layout changes (i use php to write the table tags if needed). i
use css for styling the newsletter though
my rule is that if it works in hotmail then it should work most places, hotmail strip the head so
either use inline styles or put the style block in the body. they are now also blocking images and
are becoming a general pain, so i just send them a link to hotmail address now, this makes life
easy for me and the users are happy as it keeps their mailbox size down.
AOL don't support tables in email, you can find info at http://webmaster.info.aol.com/
i think it spends on your audience, with css the styling can degrade gracefully to something that
is still readable with just h and p tags
there's a wiki at http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=StyleInEmail
in my view if it does html then it should do css, if it doesn't the user should live with it or
upgrade to a better mail reader.
Best Wishes

Subject: [css-d] Attaching CSS in email
Hi all,
Sending out an HTML newsletter, want to use CSS layout if possible.
Will attached CSS work in email clients? I know it depends on the
client/provider, but I'm mostly interested in popular ones (Hotmail,
AOL, Yahoo, Outlook Express, Outlook). Do these support CSS2?
Thanks.
Sameer.
