I believe something like this is the selector syntax you're looking 
for:

     div#id > p:first-child::first-line

Don't be surprised, however, if browser support is, shall we say, 
"interesting."

Also note that the above uses the CSS3-style "::" notation for the 
first-line pseudo element. You might need to replace that with a single 
colon to get some current browsers to recognize it properly.
