Hi Simone,
probably it's because of the "clear: both" on the div with
id="contentleft". The clear: both won't allow the "contentcenter"
div to float to its left, and it will go below it. Same effect on Opera 7
too.
Haven't studied well your css, but seems to me that you used too much
"clear"
and float. Have a look on the floating tutorial here:
http://css.maxdesign.com.au/floatutorial/
Or, for a quick 'n deep tutorial, you' ll find css advanced floating and
positioning tutorial here: http://www.brainjar.com/css/positioning/

A personal comment: while using pixel font dimensioning, everything
should be pixel-dimensioned. The list items in the main content, resing
the browser font size, will be the only thing to resize and will overflow
the main content area, causing a bad visual effect.
Another comment: nice graphics and good color choice indeed.

HTH,
    SantaKlauss

P.S: for Simone: sorry if I answered you in private, it was not in
my intention. This is my first post here and didn't knew how to
reply to the list.
