On IE6 when I first brought up www.js-web.com/ there was a centered gold
block that appeared for a second overlaying the "Username" line and part of
the line below.
But after the page had been running for a few minutes, I got a "notice" that
a JavaScript on this page was causing IE to run slowly and prompted for me
to Yes/No on continuing to run the script.

Subject: [css-d] (Probably) first bookmaking site with CSS layout
I'm currently working on a rewrite of an existing UK bookmaking web
site, http://www.stanjames.com. Existing site uses table-based layout which
is very heavy.
Beta version of the new web site can be seen at
http://www.sj-web.com. Bookmaking sites are usually table oriented and I'm
not aware of any other CSS-based bookmaking website.
Currently, HTML footprint is down 2x, as well as underlying scripts.
Layout is made using floats inside of relatively positioned div. As
known, this can be pretty problematic and I'm asking you to help me test it
in various browsers, especially on Mac ones.
In Firebird, Opera 7 and IE6 on Windows it works OK.
I need screenshots of pages looking weird, since CSS files are
scattered in dozen files (easier to develop) making it very hard for any of
you to catch the source of problem.
In the end, all will be much tidier. :$
Thanks in advance.
Side-question: is it better (perfomance-wise) to have several small
..css files or one big one?
I'm inclined to second one, since CSS files loaded in head part are
cached at user, and afterwards you have one call to server to check if it's
modified.
