Menu like html

What I do is use the layer swap behavior from Dreamweaver. Then as you roll
over a graphic, it will hide/show the appropriate layers with the sub nav
below.

I use CSS styles to make the sub menues have thier own personality (you can
changer link, visit, hover color - as well as the back ground colors, etc)

In your case with the about page, you can have it open a layer with the
about text, and simply not have it have an <a> tag but styled so that it
fits in with your look.

You can have the submenus have a different background color for visited.
Another trick is to use graphics with transparencys so that teh back ground
color shows through and can be changed.
