Greetings fellows,
There has been a great deal of interest in the <a
href="http://phark.typepad.com/phark/2003/08/accessible_imag.html">phark
method</a> and <a href="http://blog.tom.me.uk/2003/08/07/">Gilder method</a>
as alternatives to the Fahrner Image Replacement technique lately.

It sounds very interesting, but will search engines penalise websites that use
these text hiding techniques? I can see the benefits but I am reluctant to
employ a technique that may harm hard won SE rankings for clients sites.

Does anyone have a definitive answer or strong views?

Thanks for your time,

Regards, <a href="http://www.myrtledene.co.uk">Neil Ford</a>.
