Actually, if you're coding for NN6 you shouldn't be using the <layer> tag
at all. LAYER is a deprecated Netscape extension. It has been functionally
replaced by the standardized DIV tag as of the never-released NN5.
Yes, NN6 still supports the LAYER tag but, don't count on NN7 doing so and
IE never really supported it.
