Hello list -
I have a page that I am so far very succesfully modifying a print style
sheet for ideal printed output. However one of the elements, a logo - on
the page I wish to "swap" out for another logo version.
I tried the following ways -
1) Creating an "empty" div with proper height and width and Simply using
background image in screen style sheet. This way on printed style sheet
- I simply change the background file reference...
I needed the logo clickable which I handled with a 1x1 transparent gif
resized.. BUT when you print - no background images print - that is
including any background images stated in CSS
2) I tried positioning the one I wish to print off page - and
positioning it OVER the other logo in the print style sheet - but seemed
a bit messy
3) Can I have something stated ONLY in a style sheet that has not actual
page instance?
Am I making things more difficult then I need and missing a simplier
approach?
Again - an example to make sense of it -
On screen shots I have a logo with gray background and no phone number -
I drop the div the graphic is in - so on printed preview- you see a gray
image on a white page - also missing other attributes. I merely want to
swap that image out in the print style sheet and print an entirely
different image than is on stage.
Thanks!
