[css-d] Browser detection vs. @import

Sent by Judy Benedict on 18 February 2002 11:11

I have just updated a site at (I stole some of Eric's script from his
complex spiral site!):

http://www.gbgm-umc.org/buncombestumc/leisure/index.html

I wanted it to look half-way decent in NS 4.79. It already looked okay
in IE 5.5 & NS 6.21 - win 98 at 800 x 600.

I wanted to do the @import but never got there. I found a browser
detection script at
http://www.mozilla.org/docs/web-developer/sniffer/browser_type.html

and put this on this index page only.

It seems to work correctly!!! Could I have done something easier using
@import?

OT - anyone know how I can save this script in a separate .js file and
just call it from my html doc? I can't remember and right now I am
brain dead.
