[css-d] First letter: Lady Bicolor

Sent by The Moose on 7 February 2003 09:09

Hello All Good People,

I have created another thingamajig related to first letters. This time, I didn't abuse the
:first-letter property itself, but inspired by the idea itself, I vandalized it *into* something
else.
I seem to have an innocent (?) obsession with large letters as replacements for ornamantative
images.

Although the disadvantages of using really large letters are obvious, and although the dependence on
fonts makes my approach far from universal, I still believe this is useful in *some* contexts. But
does everything have to be universally universal? I don't know... :)

The descriptions are provided on the page. Styles embedded.

Restrictions:
1. Please view this page in Opera or Mozilla, as it is not intended to work in IE.
2. I used a Tahoma font. It is important, unfortunately...

I would be grateful for comments, criticisms, critiques...

signed,
the First-Letter Boy

Wojtek
