Lars and Bill, thanks so much for all the testing. This is what I've come up with so far: Lars,
if I remove the [if IE] statement, the drop downs simply won't align correctly.

Bill, at 1024x768, the problem is gone but only after I aligned the menu left, like you did.
However, at 800x600 I still get a horizontal scrollbar as described below (bizarre). I tweaked and
tweaked for hours now trying everything I could think of. One thing I'm perplexed about is, I could
not get the font size any smaller on the menu. Tried ems, %s, keywords in one selector, then others
as well, in the DBmenu_style.css file to no avail. I finally brought in another page from the
client's site, one without a form or fixed width table ... and the same anomaly happens.

Here's the second page: http://www.24caratdesign.com/Carli/about.htm

...and I finally got permission to junk the Comic Sans font and use Verdana instead. However, I
used Arial for the menu. I don't think the client would like the menu items "jammed together"
(which may however solve the problem). I like the look as I have it now but am stumped. Maybe I'll
just live with the quirky scrollbar (altho I hate to).

Bill, what did you do to reduce the text size and move the menu items closer to each other? I
tried but couldn't figure it out. I'm beside myself (and terribly tired right now). Will have to
say goodbye and get some sleep.

Again, you've been gems for taking the time to troubleshoot this.

Best,
Sharon
