  Subject: [css-d] Horizontal Bar Blues

  Hi All!

I'm trying to include a colored horizontal line as a divider between the
nav and the content (and again between the content and the footer) on
  this mock up:

  http://ironandbass.com/SCFCindex

Mozilla Win/Mac, Chimera, Opera 7/Win, Netscape 7/Win all render the
page as I expect it to look. I've found two problems:

  1. IE5/Mac (and Opera 6 Mac?) display the colored bar flush up against
the top of the nav buttons.

  2. IE6/Windows is not listening to my height declaration (10px) for the
  colored bar.

  The CSS is here: http://ironandbass.com/SCFCcss.css

Can anyone suggest a remedy? I'd be happy to use a different structure
to achieve the same effect. I tried applying styles to a <hr /> (because
that's what it really is) but had limited success among my test
browsers. I've come closest with the <div class="colorbar-find"></div>
system, but I'm not quite there.

If anyone finds a rendering problem I haven't mentioned, please let me
know. Thanks in advance for any tips!
