Hello all,
I've been reading this list for a couple of weeks now and searched
the archives and have now come to the point where I need some help.
I have been working on a new design for a site I maintain and have
run into a couple of problems. The new site can be found at
http://www.crookedfingers.com/new/ and I have only been able to test
it in Mozilla 1.2.1, 1.3 Linux, and IE 6 on W2K. It appears correctly
in those (with an exception, see next paragraph), but I would
appreciate it if people could check it in other browsers that they
have access to and let me know how it looks in those and any
suggestions how to correct it.
Now, the crux of my problem is with the Discography section of the
site (http://www.crookedfingers.com/new/discography/). I have
migrated from using tables for layout and have a lot of floats now to
maintain my look. However, in Mozilla the content overflows the
surrounding div and I can't figure out why. This behavior doesn't
occur in IE 6. One problem in IE 6 though is that I have 2 lists as
part of the info for each album, a track listing and a listing of the
players on that album. In Mozilla they line up in the same row (as I
want) but in IE 6 The Players list comes right under the info section,
slightly above the track listing. I'm sure it has something to do
with my implementation of floats and clears, but don't know how to fix it.
Anyway, any and all help will be appreciated. Both the html and css
validate with no errors or warnings.
Thanks in advance,
Bob Jones
