Alas, no, it is not. I wanted to do this too, at some point; a lot of
us probably have. But you'll have to find some other way, or maybe put
one background in a wrapper element or something.

You'd think so, but as I recall someone pointing out to me when I
pursued this line of thought about a year ago, that opens up a dreadful
can of worms. How do you declare properties for different background
images? How is z-index decided? Etc.
Sorry. But, where there's a will, etc. :)
