I am experimenting with sidebar boxes that use semi-transparent colored
backgrounds. The background looks good, and there's a hint of what's
behind the box which is good.
However the text to background contrast drops and so does the
readability.
I've played hit or miss picking text colors to improve the contrast, but
I wonder if there may be an algorithm to choose a complimentary color
and luminosity to achieve the highest level of contrast (or text
readabity)?
Anybody have knowledge of something like this?
