Which of these to methods is preferred for using CSS to create table
borders? Are either or both of them valid?

On Windows in Opera 7.0 beta 1 exp_1.html was missing the bottom and right
borders. But 1 & 2 both worked in Opera 6.05, IE 6.02, and Netscape
7/Phoenix 0.5/K-Meleon 0.7.
On OS X I only had a problem with exp_1.html in IE 5.2. It made the borders
between cells thick. Mozilla 1.1 was fine for both 1 & 2.
