[css-d] vertical & horizontal centering

Sent by Luc on 23 December 2002 23:11

Good night list,

I created some rollovers (just experimenting in this stage) and i'm
oh so happy they work LOL. But: the idea is that on hovering a box
pops up, centered on the page. The middle centering is working but i
can't seem to align it up with the visible boxes: Opera & IE 6 don't
get them like it should be. Either Opera shows the box like i intend
but then IE6 doesn't and vice versa. In short: vertical centering (or
alignment???) is causing me a headache. I want to align the box that
pops up with the visible top box.

And while i'm at it, another question: if i set my margin-left:auto in
the "p.navlink a:hover span" selector, in IE when hovering the box
pops up aligned with the other visible boxes which i prefer. But in
Opera the box doesn't show up when i hover over the last visible box
and when i hover over the first visible box, it shows up partially.

Help from you gurus is much appreciated.
