hopefully none...
i've done some user testing on those keen colored scrollbars, and
your average developer does it for whiz-bang by making it a color
on the site...
well, a good chunk of users (still not done testing) don't see it
because it 'blends' with the page... users are used to a chrome-
colored (as in, the same color as the window chrome) scrollbar and
look for that...
failing to find it, they don't scroll...
and horizontal scrollbars are worse... lots of people never see them
when they're normal, but now it seems no one sees them when
they are non-chrome-colored...
everything suggests the styling scrollbars is A Bad Thing(tm), at
least given my usability testing...
everyone remember the scrolling status bar messages that made it
impossible to see the location of hyperlinks? anyone here missing
their absence after they were so keenly taken up by everyone who
saw them and then dumped when they realized users didn't like
them?
i'm thinking it's not in the spec for a good reason... maybe they
want to wait until they can style *all* chrome so it's at least
consistent?
