Take a peak at how it's done on this site. Plain CSS for Mozilla and JS
bug workarounds for IE 5.5+

Unfortunately I havn't found a way to work around the IE bugs using only
CSS :(
Opera 7b is unfortunately not bright enough to make the width of the
content small enough to not require a horizontal scrollbar, but
otherwise it works well in it too, and there probably is an easy CSS
workaround for it.
