RE: [css-d] help! client wants reason to switch to new netscape

Sent by Earl Cooley on 4 December 2002 06:06

I remember reading that some institutions stuck with NN4
because more recent versions had a Password Manager that
represented a huge potential security risk. If there is
a way for a system administrator to configure Netscape 7
or Mozilla so that the Password Manager starts out turned
off and the end user has no rights to turn it back on, then
security-conscious people might feel better about the more
recent versions.
