I've just finished (yeah, right) a stylesheet for my site (accessible at 
<http://www.mark.ac/journal/?css=cooper>) which I tried to build with 
ems. I had problems getting the text to look "right" with ems -- the 
cascade down to the inner content was too inconsistent in some 
browsers -- but I found that percentages seemed to inherit a bit more 
logically. But this may be due to my layout, rather than the theory.
