I've found this, too, and the bug meant that I had to find an 
alternative solution to a similar page setup; the nearest I ever got 
was <http://www.mark.ac/help/sticky.html>, but I've found out recently 
that even that's also got problems in newer versions of Netscape.

The problem with the links is throughout the page (also at 
<http://www.t-melt.com/>, if anyone wants to compare code), so it may 
not be down to position:fixed.
