It's a bug I've run into with IE before.  It's
rendering the text underneath the content div.  If I'm
remembering correctly from when I was having this
problem, it had to do with the floats, though I'm not
sure exactly why.  In your case, do you plan on
keeping "body" and "#content" as having the same
background color?  If so, you can change #content from
"background: #ffffff;" to "background: transparent;",
and you'll still get the same background color, but
with your text showing through.
