I set the width (or min-width and max-width) in ems. That way, the
width of the box is always relative to the size of the text. Thus, it
should be much easier to keep the two sensible even with huge text
sizes.

Instead of getting a tiny box when enlarging text, you get a box that
is more or less equally bigger.
