Hey all,
I would like to hear peoples opinions over using em's, pixels, points or
percents for font sizes, kerning and leading.
I notice that by setting font's to px that in IE 6 the text size function
won't work. In Netscape 6, Mozilla and Opera the fonts will change size, but
the leading remains the same. (So if you scale it up quite big the leading
seemingly decreases.)
Em's on the other hand seem to work in all browsers. The only problem is
that each browser seems to display your original setting (eg 100%) in
different sizes.
Is there a way to use em's but have less fluctuation in sizing of
typography? (Or should I just settle for a non-pixel-perfect design?)
I don't know much about points or percents as I rarely use them. If someone
gives me good reason then maybe I should start to use them more. :-)
Thanks in advance,
