[css-d] Stuck on how to solve this one.

Hi,

I've been trying to get my head around this problem but cannot seem to
figure it out. In the URL below is a page I am starting work on. It consist
of a header, two columns all stretching with the browser window.

If you try the page you will see that when you reduced the browser window
horizontally the header background will continue to reduce in size and the
content will stay correct. How do I stop that header background from going
past the search text?.

I have tried the min/max javascript hack but cant seem to get that to work.

Any suggestions?
