[css-d] Table AND CSS Layout?

Sent by Peterson, Jean on 25 September 2002 18:06

OK, don't slap me for even asking because I'm new to this...

Can you create a table-based layout that will work as a default for those
browsers that don't like CSS and then write CSS for it that "takes it up a
notch"? Like can you put the contents of a nav bar both in a <div> and in a
cell so the CSS can make it float but it stays put for those non-CSS people?

Please feel free to direct me to an article or tips page. Thanks.
Jean Peterson
