[css-d] PC IE 5 absolute-relative Positioning problem

Sent by Jeremy Arnold on 4 February 2002 18:06

After a weekend of banging my haed against a brick wall I have finally
desided it's time to ask for HELP!! ;-)

http://202.0.33.66/nancyslayout/flayout.php
http://202.0.33.66/nancyslayout/layoutf.css

ignore the PHP and the alternative stylesheets etcetc ....

Now IE 5.5+ and NN6 both display div.topcap2 relative to div.header...

BUT

IE 5 doesn't .... I suspect it is because div.header has the style
position:relative

Can anyone conferm this?? Any fix's or hacks??

Also anyone use opera can you please check the layout ....

Note: NN4.7 has an alternative style sheet (PHP takes care of this) and
IE3/4 will use that alternative style sheet once It has been finshed... I'm
focusing on the main Layout for now...

Thanks a heap...
         Jeremy Arnold.

P.S If I can fix this layout I will write a tutorial on it.... :-)
