I'm working now with the 02-Feb build (.9.8) and it's a quantuum leap in
trying to fix the major rendering bugs, although some still remain. Was just
curious as to how you see the coming conundrum... That is, it seems that
Mozilla 1.0 will be an awesome browser and no doubt its Netscape cousin will
be too. But what of all the people (especially civilians) who have copies of
NN6.0-6.2 ? We get tons of support questions from people using early (and
current) releases who believe that this is a major problem that could lead
developers (especially DHTML developers) down the path of having to code
multiple workarounds for the early models.
Any advice would be welcomed :-)
And yes, it seems that Background image changes via (enabled/disabled)
sheets is now working fine, but not sure of the "alternate" method. We use
script to enable/disable because alternate sheets are not yet a "real-world"
solution.
