Dear all,
I just started working on a new site and I wondered about the following: I've a main title <h1>
("Sergio da Silva") and an additional title <h2> ("Flamenco guitar"). Within the title section, I
want the <h1> outlined left, the <h2> right so I put the as inline elements behind each other.
Now I wondered if there is an elegant way to get the baseline of the text on the same vertical
level? My thought was: <h1> is a 70 pixel font with 15px padding-top so the text baseline is 85px.
Since <h2> is a 30px font, it will need (85 - 30 =) 55px of padding-top. However, it turns out this
is way too much! Some 38px seems more like it but I don't see why. And I suspect there should be a
more efficient option than this manual padding but I'm not sure which and how to implement it here.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Ruben
