Hi all,
Probably a stupid question for you, sorry but I'm a newbie using CSS.
Here's the page: http://212.177.171.229/rancia/css/home.htm
As youll'see is under construction, little more than an experiment.
I have a conceptual doubt about using <span>. I placed some of them in
the center part of the page, under the big picture. The first three show
three small pictures and under them there are three more <span>
containing the text. I assigned to the textual three the following
class:
.homeProducts {
vertical-align: top;
width: 120px;
margin-left: 6px;
margin-right: 6px;
padding: 5px;
border-left: 1px dashed #12477B;
}
First question: is it correct to use span to display blocks of contents
on the same line like this?
Second: I tested it in NN 6.2 and the textual contents appear along a
line, it seems not to recognize the width of the <span> (120px). Maybe
because it's not the correct way to do this, isn't it?
Should I use absolute positioning to display these contents? Maybe using
<div>s and not <span>s?
Sorry for my confused question but, as you may see, I'm really confused
and every attempt to clear part of my doubts (even pointing me out some
good tutorials...) will be very appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance for you support,
Marco
