[css-d] Fixed td image with vertical-align: bottom; now what?

Sent by Bob Sawyer on 20 August 2002 18:06

I used the vertical-align: bottom fix on my menu bar to fix the Netscape 6
"added space" problem. NOW I'm getting about a 10px space at the top of the
table that I can't get rid of. It shows up in NS6/Win and IE6/Win. I've
removed padding and margin on the table, padding and margin on the
containing div, set the margin-top and top to 0px, set the vertical align on
the table to top.... NOTHING seems to work.

Page in question: http://www.americusalumni.com/index1.php
Style sheet: http://www.americusalumni.com/aa1.css

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

While you're in there, let me know why the float:left is causing the items
that should be to the right of the floated div to be below it. This is your
typical ALA layout, btw...

Thanks much,

Bob
