The red block is about 2/3 of the way down the canvas on my machine, IE6/Win.
Now, of course, I'd like to see the word "Centered" centered in the red box.
Yes, I'm sure you could do it by moving it down by half the number of
pixels in the box. You can *always* center something by absolutely
positioning it, but you may not always have that option (especially if you
need to do more than position a single block in the middle of the screen).
Is there a philosophical reason that browsers don't support vertical-align
other than "it's hard to do"?
