I think it is a min-height issue

I think it should work if you modify your css and add this:
#leftColumnSection {
min-height: 700px;
height:auto !important;
height: 700px;
}
and delete this (unless it is needed for something else)
HTML #leftColumnSection {
HEIGHT: 1%
}
not sure if its valid, but it should work.
